Students practice the English they can use with family, at restaurants, while shopping, at the beach, at attractions, and throughout their time in the United States.

Yes. Many students choose this course because they want a meaningful activity during an extended family visit or Florida vacation. You may select an available part-time or full-time schedule based on your placement level, plans, and seat availability.

There are no formal attendance requirements for this enrollment path. However, regular attendance and active participation are essential for meaningful English improvement. Tuition remains due for the schedule you select even when you miss class.

No. Latitude does not offer daily or weekly tuition. Tuition is paid for the month because attending for only a few days or one week does not provide enough time for meaningful English improvement and creates unnecessary enrollment and classroom disruption.

No. Latitude does not offer trial classes. A student without the required textbook, workbook, student materials, and MyEnglishLab access cannot fully participate or follow the class. Trial attendance also disrupts enrolled students who have paid and committed to their English study.

The textbook, workbook, student materials, and MyEnglishLab assignments, quizzes, and tests are integrated into instruction and practice. Students need all materials from the beginning to participate successfully.

Your online English Placement Test determines your starting level. This helps Latitude place you in a class where you can participate successfully and continue making measurable progress.

You may request any schedule offered for your placement level. Final placement depends on your English Placement Test results and current seat availability.

The fee includes $75 for enrollment and the online English Placement Test plus $95 for textbooks, student materials, and MyEnglishLab access for assignments, quizzes, and tests.

Your first tuition payment is due one week before your class start date. Going forward tuition is always due on the first day of each month.

Payments can be made by domestic or international wire, Paypal, international or domestic credit card, domestic bank account with Zelle or cash. Admissions will provide an invoice and list current options for domestic or international payment after reviewing your application.

Complete the online application and provide a copy of your unexpired passport information page. Admissions will tell you if any additional information is needed to confirm your course and schedule options.

In order to attend Latitude Language, you should have a need to improve your English and be age 17 or older, or age 15 or 16 with a parental waiver and U.S. guardian assignment. Admission and schedule placement are confirmed after Latitude reviews your application and English Placement Test results.

Latitude organizes fun school and community experiences where students can practice English, relax, and get to know one another. Past Jacksonville activities include Topgolf, the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, Blue Spring manatee excursions, the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp baseball, Jacksonville Armada soccer, bowling and arcade nights, ice skating, boat tours, international potlucks, movies, and more. Upcoming plans and any activity-specific costs are shared with enrolled students.

No. Activities are optional, but they are a wonderful way to practice conversation, build confidence, make friends, and enjoy more of Florida with the Latitude community.

Latitude does not own or operate student housing. Admissions can share third-party housing resources. Students contract directly with each housing provider, and pricing and availability can change.
