Administrative processing is an additional government review that may occur after the interview. Processing time varies by case and location. Notify Latitude’s Admissions Team so we can monitor your planned start date and determine whether your Form I-20 should be updated. Latitude cannot influence or expedite a consular review.

Students should avoid purchasing nonrefundable travel until the visa has been issued. For the interview it is appropriate to print copies of your travel plans and housing arrangements to show that you have researched itineraries for your travel and place(s) to live during your studies.

Level Up is a college-support and scholarship opportunity for students enrolled in Latitude’s CEA-accredited Intensive English Program with Test Preparation. It includes English instruction, college planning, application support, progress reviews, and scholarship eligibility.

No. Level Up students enroll in Latitude’s approved Intensive English Program and continue through Level 9 Test Preparation. Level Up adds college-planning services and scholarship eligibility.

Jacksonville tuition is $595 per month, due on the first of each month. Students also pay a one-time Application + English Placement Test Fee and a one-time Books, Practice Tests, and Student Materials fee split into two equal payments. Admissions provides the complete cost and payment schedule after reviewing the application and eligibility.

The three scholarship levels are $1,500 after 12–17 qualifying months, $2,250 after 18–23 qualifying months, and $3,000 after 24 qualifying months.

Absolutely not. Tuition is paid according to Latitude’s monthly billing schedule. Scholarship eligibility is based on the student’s initial English level and actual qualifying enrollment.

No. Placement and English progression are academic decisions. Moving quickly through levels does not shorten the scholarship enrollment requirement.

No. Latitude pays the scholarship directly to the receiving college or university. The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be used for Latitude English-program tuition or fees.

The student rents directly from the housing provider, and attending Latitude is not required to continue that housing arrangement. During the transition to a degree program, Latitude can help the student communicate with the landlord about move-out procedures or extending the lease.

Yes, when the institution and Associate’s degree program meet Latitude’s scholarship requirements. Level Up includes research, admissions planning, budgeting, and relocation planning when needed.

Yes. An eligible Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program may qualify.

No. Latitude helps students prepare and apply, but the receiving institution makes the final admission decision.

It depends on the receiving institution’s English requirements. Some schools may accept Latitude program completion or in-house testing; others require an outside exam. When an exam is required, Level Up includes preparation for the applicable English-admissions requirement.

Eligible F-1 students may apply to transfer into Level Up. The student must complete Latitude’s admission and SEVIS transfer requirements, and the student’s I-20 must be Active for transfer.

An eligible visitor may apply for admission and request a Form I-20 for a Change of Status application. A person in B-1 or B-2 status cannot begin the full course of study until USCIS approves F-1 status.

Students of all nationalities may apply. Every student must meet the same published requirements.

In order to attend Latitude Language, you should have a need to improve your English, be age 17 or older (or 15 with a parental waiver and US guardian assignment), and qualify for a visa or be a resident of the United States. The amount of hours a person may study at Latitude Language depends on the type of visa the applicant holds and their current status.

U.S. immigration law requires payment of a US$350 fee AFTER the I-20 is created but BEFORE the visa application interview. This fee is called an I-901 fee or “SEVIS fee.” It is used to help pay for the online international student database used by immigration and SEVIS-approved schools in the U.S. It can be paid online with a credit card or by using Western Union at www.fmjfee.com. Our Admissions Team will provide you with step by step instructions to pay the I-901 fee.

Form I-20 is the school document issued to an accepted student for the F-1 process. Latitude prepares it after the application profile, required documents, proof of funds, and school fees are complete.

A new F-1 student may enter the United States no more than 30 days before the program start date listed on the Form I-20. This time allows students to arrive, organize housing and transportation, and recover from long travel before classes begin.

Each F-2 dependent needs an individual Form I-20 and visa application, a valid passport, proof of relationship to the F-1 student, and proof that sufficient funding is available for the dependent. Admissions will provide the dependent I-20 and confirm the school documents needed after reviewing the application.

Confirm that your name, date of birth, passport information, school and campus, program, start date, and funding information are correct. Contact Latitude immediately if anything needs to be corrected, and sign the student certification section before your visa interview and travel.

Carry your passport with the F-1 visa, signed Form I-20, I-901 SEVIS fee receipt, Latitude admission and supporting school documentation, and proof of funding in your hand luggage. Do not place these documents in checked baggage because you will need them during immigration inspection.

Attend the required full course of study, maintain the school’s attendance and academic standards, keep your documents current, and communicate promptly with Latitude’s Designated School Officials.

Payments can be made by domestic or international wire, Paypal, international or domestic credit card, domestic bank account with Zelle or cash. Admissions will provide an invoice and list current options for domestic or international payment after reviewing your application.

Your funding can come from any combination of sources in the U.S. or abroad. Funds from sponsors may come from parents, relatives, friends, or organizations, and you may have as many sponsors as you need. Proof of funding can be provided through bank statements or an affidavit from a bank. Personal funds must come from your own resources. If your parents place money in your account, Admissions will ask you to submit the evidence required of sponsors. Latitude Language will provide sponsor affidavit templates for you and your sponsor or sponsors to complete.

The DS-160 is the online nonimmigrant visa application. The current non-refundable application fee for an F student visa is US$185. Payment methods and whether payment is required before scheduling vary by U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Follow the instructions for the location where you will interview, keep your payment receipt, complete the DS-160 online, and print the confirmation page for your interview.

No. DS-160 application fees, medical examination, passport photos, fingerprinting, the I-901 SEVIS fee, and other government charges are separate. Confirm current amounts on official government websites to ensure you are budgeting correctly.

Latitude Language does not require students to have a health insurance policy. BUT medical care in the United States can be expensive. Latitude strongly encourages international students to obtain health and accident insurance valid in the United States. Please inquire with our Admissions Team for guidance in reviewing your long term international student health insurance options.

Yes. Admissions can share third-party housing and transportation resources before arrival. Private-room housing resources in Jacksonville currently start at $675 per month. Latitude does not own or provide student housing or transportation; students contract directly with each provider, and prices and availability can change.

F-1 students must maintain Latitude’s full course of study, currently 18 classroom hours per week, together with all attendance and academic requirements.

Yes. Latitude organizes and pays for student events that help students practice English, build friendships, and experience Florida with the local community.

Latitude has resources for third-party private rooms in Jacksonville starting at $675 per month. Current examples are approximately $675–$785 per month, including utilities and Wi-Fi. Students rent directly from the housing provider, and prices and availability can change.

Beginner Levels 0–2 attend Monday–Thursday from 9:00 AM–1:30 PM. Intermediate Levels 3–5 may attend Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 PM–9:00 PM or Monday–Thursday from 4:30 PM–9:00 PM. Advanced and Test Preparation Levels 6–9 may attend Monday and Wednesday from 12:00 PM–9:00 PM or Monday–Thursday from 4:30 PM–9:00 PM. Schedule placement depends on English level and seat availability.

Eligible F-1 students may request up to four months of Annual Vacation after 26 weeks of consecutive study while maintaining good academic standing, attendance, and F-1 status. One approved vacation month has no tuition due.

The current 12-month example is $10,335 for the Standard IEP or $11,545 for Level Up. Add $1,000 for each F-2 dependent. Admissions recalculates the requirement for shorter study plans and confirms the final amount before issuing the Form I-20.
