Tell Admissions the date you last attended class at your current school or the date of your final scheduled class, whether your Form I-20 is currently Active, your requested Latitude start date, and whether any F-2 dependents are included in your SEVIS record.

Latitude’s Official Letter of Transfer confirms your admission and requested transfer plan for your current school. You present it, along with any requested transfer form, to your current school’s Designated School Official or International Department so they can complete the transfer-out process in SEVIS.

Latitude processes the Official Letter of Transfer within 2 business days after your application profile is complete, the $175 F-1 Transfer school fee is received, and you complete the online English Placement Test.

Your current school’s Designated School Official selects Latitude Language as your transfer-in school and schedules the release of your SEVIS record. Latitude cannot accept the transfer or issue the updated transfer I-20 until the record is released to Latitude in SEVIS.

After your current school initiates the transfer and your SEVIS record becomes available to Latitude, Latitude accepts the transfer and provides an updated Form I-20 listing Latitude Language as your new school with your official class start and end dates.

The maximum allowable period is five months. Latitude will review your last attendance date, SEVIS status, requested transfer release date, and the available Latitude start dates to confirm an eligible transfer timeline.

Not through the ordinary SEVIS transfer process. Under the DHS final rule scheduled to take effect September 15, 2026, unless DHS announces a changed effective date, an F-1 student below the graduate level must complete the first academic year at the school that initially issued the Form I-20 before transferring. SEVP may authorize a limited exception for qualifying extenuating circumstances. While an exception request is being considered, the student must attend and maintain status at the original school. If SEVP authorizes the exception, Latitude can continue the transfer review. A separate USCIS extension-of-stay filing may also be necessary if the new program would extend beyond the student’s authorized period of stay.

No. Latitude does not accept transfers into its English language program from students currently participating in OPT or CPT. Transferring a SEVIS record ends practical training connected to the prior school, and English language training students are not eligible for practical training. Under the DHS final rule effective September 15, 2026, unless the effective date changes, a student who completes a program at one educational level may not begin another F-1 program at the same or a lower educational level.

Yes. The F-2 dependent records must transfer with the principal F-1 student, or the dependents must depart the United States.

Latitude reviews the student’s final attendance date, requested start date, SEVIS status, and transfer eligibility with the student and current school. The current school’s Designated School Official enters the transfer-in school and release date in SEVIS. The release date is generally the current semester or session completion date, or the expected transfer date when earlier than completion of the established academic cycle. The current school controls the record until the release date; Latitude receives access and responsibility on that date.

Latitude Language will contact the current school’s Designated School Official to coordinate a solution. If the issue cannot be resolved, Latitude will contact SEVIS and open a ticket requesting review and, when appropriate, a manual transfer. A transfer-out school should process an otherwise eligible transfer request made before the student’s I-20 program end date when the SEVIS record is Active and the student meets current DHS transfer requirements.

Latitude Language does not impose a separate minimum enrollment period after transfer. Under the DHS final rule effective September 15, 2026, unless the effective date changes, a student below the graduate level must complete the first academic year at the school that initially issued the Form I-20 before becoming eligible for an ordinary transfer. Latitude will review each student’s prior enrollment and current transfer eligibility before acceptance.

Level Up is a college-support and scholarship opportunity for students enrolled in Latitude’s CEA-accredited Intensive English Program with Test Preparation. It includes English instruction, college planning, application support, progress reviews, and scholarship eligibility.

No. Level Up students enroll in Latitude’s approved Intensive English Program and continue through Level 9 Test Preparation. Level Up adds college-planning services and scholarship eligibility.

Jacksonville tuition is $595 per month, due on the first of each month. Students also pay a one-time Application + English Placement Test Fee and a one-time Books, Practice Tests, and Student Materials fee split into two equal payments. Admissions provides the complete cost and payment schedule after reviewing the application and eligibility.

The three scholarship levels are $1,500 after 12–17 qualifying months, $2,250 after 18–23 qualifying months, and $3,000 after 24 qualifying months.

Absolutely not. Tuition is paid according to Latitude’s monthly billing schedule. Scholarship eligibility is based on the student’s initial English level and actual qualifying enrollment.

No. Latitude pays the scholarship directly to the receiving college or university. The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be used for Latitude English-program tuition or fees.

No. The scholarship is limited to eligible semester tuition and required academic fees.

The student rents directly from the housing provider, and attending Latitude is not required to continue that housing arrangement. During the transition to a degree program, Latitude can help the student communicate with the landlord about move-out procedures or extending the lease.

Yes, when the institution and Associate’s degree program meet Latitude’s scholarship requirements. Level Up includes research, admissions planning, budgeting, and relocation planning when needed.

Yes. An eligible Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program may qualify.

No. Latitude helps students prepare and apply, but the receiving institution makes the final admission decision.

It depends on the receiving institution’s English requirements. Some schools may accept Latitude program completion or in-house testing; others require an outside exam. When an exam is required, Level Up includes preparation for the applicable English-admissions requirement.

Eligible F-1 students may apply to transfer into Level Up. The student must complete Latitude’s admission and SEVIS transfer requirements, and the student’s I-20 must be Active for transfer.

An eligible visitor may apply for admission and request a Form I-20 for a Change of Status application. A person in B-1 or B-2 status cannot begin the full course of study until USCIS approves F-1 status.

Students of all nationalities may apply. Every student must meet the same published requirements.

Complete Latitude’s online application and upload the requested transfer documents. Admissions will review your current I-20 and status, last attendance date, requested start date, and transfer eligibility before providing payment and English Placement Test instructions.

Prepare your passport information page, F-1 visa or Form I-797 Change of Status Approval Notice, and the first page of your current Form I-20 showing your current school and its school code. Admissions may request additional documents after reviewing your transfer profile.

In order to attend Latitude Language, you should have a need to improve your English, be age 17 or older (or 15 with a parental waiver and US guardian assignment), and qualify for a visa or be a resident of the United States. The amount of hours a person may study at Latitude Language depends on the type of visa the applicant holds and their current status.

Form I-20 is the school document connected to your F-1 SEVIS record. After your current school releases your eligible SEVIS record and Latitude accepts the transfer, Latitude provides an updated Form I-20 showing Latitude Language as your new school and listing your official class start and end dates.

Attend orientation, begin classes on the date provided by Latitude, maintain the required full course of study, meet attendance and academic standards, keep your documents current, and communicate promptly with Latitude’s Designated School Officials.

Payments can be made by domestic or international wire, Paypal, international or domestic credit card, domestic bank account with Zelle or cash. Admissions will provide an invoice and list current options for domestic or international payment after reviewing your application.

The fee includes F-1 transfer application processing, review of your current I-20 and status, Latitude’s Official Letter of Transfer and transfer form, coordination with your current school’s Designated School Official or International Department, the online English Placement Test, acceptance of the I-20 transfer in SEVIS, and updated I-20 registration.

A student continuing with the same SEVIS ID generally does not pay a new I-901 SEVIS fee solely because the SEVIS record transfers to another school. If your case requires a new SEVIS record or new SEVIS ID, Admissions will tell you to confirm whether a new payment or fee transfer is required before completing the process.

Latitude Language does not require students to have a health insurance policy. BUT medical care in the United States can be expensive. Latitude strongly encourages international students to obtain health and accident insurance valid in the United States. Yes. Admissions can share third-party housing and transportation resources before arrival. Private-room housing resources in Jacksonville currently start at $675 per month. Latitude does not own or provide student housing or transportation; students contract directly with each provider, and prices and availability can change.

F-1 students must maintain Latitude’s full course of study, currently 18 classroom hours per week, together with all attendance and academic requirements.

Beginner Levels 0–2 attend Monday–Thursday from 9:00 AM–1:30 PM. Intermediate Levels 3–5 may attend Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 PM–9:00 PM or Monday–Thursday from 4:30 PM–9:00 PM. Advanced and Test Preparation Levels 6–9 may attend Monday and Wednesday from 12:00 PM–9:00 PM or Monday–Thursday from 4:30 PM–9:00 PM. Schedule placement depends on English level and seat availability.

Eligible F-1 students may request up to four months of Annual Vacation after 26 weeks of consecutive study while maintaining good academic standing, attendance, and F-1 status. One approved vacation month has no tuition due.
